Detolf Hamster Cage Partitions

An Ikea Detolf makes an excellent DIY enclosure for a hamster. However it can be difficult to create separate areas for deep bedding, sand or a wheel. The Detolf can also be a little “flat” inside and its not very easy to create different levels or even to mount things like a drinks bottle. These acrylic/perspex Detolf hamster cage partitions allow you to keep bedding or sand where you want it, provide a convenient place to fix your water bottle or even to create a platform.

The dividers are made from 5mm thick acrylic/perspex and so a very strong. They slot onto the existing Detolf metal frame which holds the partitions in place. The design of the Detolf metal frame means that you can fit up to 3 dividers along the length of the enclosure.

As well as the Detolf hamster cage partitions included on this page I can also make custom dividers with holes of any shape or size you might want and in any position on the partition. So if you want a completely solid screen with 2 big holes for tubes, that’s fine just tell me how big the holes should be and where you would like them on the divider.
