These clear acrylic screens are custom made to fit a Savic Plaza 100 and replace the wall bars that are supplied with the cage. The “Savic Plaza 100 Complete Cage Screens” transform the look of your Savic Plaza making it look like there is nothing between you and your hamster.
The screens allow you to have a much clearer view of your hamster in their enclosure, and also allow for much better photographs with no bars in the way. Combined with the bolt-on screens these screens also allow you to create areas of very deep bedding and reduce the chance of bar climbing and bar biting.
Will These Screens Work For You ?
- These screens are custom made for the Savic Plaza 100. They fit into the Plaza’s black plastic framework in place of the bars. If you have a different enclosure then my selection of Deep Bedding Screens might be what you are looking for.
- In order for these screens to fit your Plaza its essential that the black plastic framework around your plaza is in one piece and fits together firmly. In particular the plastic dowels/plugs that hold the individual frame pieces together should all be in place.

Once the side screens are fitted the black plastic framework is not fixed together at the bottom of the vertical peices. So the vertical pieces of black framework can come apart at the bottom. I supply spacers which fit behind the vertical framework pieces which stop them from moving about when sat on top of the base (see photo). But if you are lifting the top with the screens fitted off the base on a regular basis then you have to support the screens as you lift them off.
- Once the screens have been fitted the top of the enclosure will require two people to lift it off. This is because with the screens fitted the top of the enclosure is quite heavy, and also because you need to support the acrylic screens while you are lifting the top off or they will tend to slip out of the bottom of the framework.
Ordering Options
Choose the screens that best suit your enclosure. The Savic Plaza 100 cage can fit:
- A front screen. The front screen is available in two options. The first is a solid panel the same as the rear panel. The second has a large hinged door with an opening 39cm wide and 20cm high, with two secure slide locks.
- A rear screen.

Fitting
Fitting the screens is as simple as removing the roof of your Plaza, sliding out each of the metal wall pieces one at a time and replacing it with the perspex/acrylic screen and then finally re-fitting the roof. The screens slot into the existing black plastic frame around the cage and require no additional fixings or special tools.

Side note – If you have the savic plaza, you already know how difficult it is to build. Therefore extra care when rebuilding it for screen installation and maneuvering should be taken! This will always result in nothing but a secure, luxurious looking enclosure.
