This is a large wooden crochet moses basket base designed for American patterns. It can also be used to make bassinets, cradles and even hampers. I have made the base from 6mm thick high quality plywood which is strong and perfect to crochet with t-shirt yarn, cord or similar.

This crochet moses basket base is 29.5 inches by 16 inches (74.9cm by 40.6cm) . They come as standard with 12mm diameter holes which are spaced so that there are exactly 100 in total around the base. If you would like variations to the above then no problem just contact me.

The price above includes etching a name (your name, company name, baby’s name etc) into the base if you would like. If you would like a more complex logo, image or cut out in the base please contact me to discuss details before you place the order.

Because I use a high precision laser cutter to create these crochet bases, I can create pretty much anything you can think of. If you have a project that requires a different, shape, size, hole diameter or hole spacing and which you cant find on my web site, then please message me and we can make something just for you.

Below is an extract from the Lullaby Trust advice on selecting a mattress for your Moses Basket:
It is important that the mattress is firm, entirely flat, and waterproof, with no soft or cushioned areas, particularly around baby’s head. Soft mattresses are known to increase the risk of SIDS. They make it harder for babies to lose body heat, which can cause them to become too hot. The surface of the mattress should be firm enough that when your baby is placed on it, their head does not sink in more than a few millimetres.
